28 GroenRijk centre send plant-advice to loyalty card holders
GroenRijk is the second biggest marketing group of the Netherlands with 28 garden centres. GroenRijk has been with Garden Connect for almost 10 years and in 2017, it introduced its new loyalty scheme across the centres.
GroenRijk wanted to offer an enhanced loyalty scheme by not only offering a discount and points but by offering extended services to customers. GroenRijk is well-known for the many plant experts working in the centres and it wanted to bring this experience home to the loyalty card holders.
Garden Connect developed the app for GroenRijk and integrated the loyalty card into the GroenRijk-website, which is also built by Garden Connect. To personalise the experience, the Personal Marketing service was implemented allowing GroenRijk to send e-mails based on plants bought at the centre.

Since, customers buying house plants are automatically receiving an e-mail minutes after buying a plant with relevant tips & information.This allows GroenRijk to help customers get the most out of their purchases.
Marketing manager Paula Kruit of GroenRijk explains how the partnership with Garden Connect benefits the leading marketing group: “Our loyalty card allows us to keep a close relation with our customers. We can monitor where our customers are coming from and how many visits they make. Garden Connect send us monthly reports with valuable information. Via the Personal Marketing tool, we can reach out to customers with offers and tips about plants they recently bought.”
