Garden centres are finding more and more challenges to get people coming to their centre nowadays. Garden Connect supports garden retailers to stay in touch with customers and knows how to generate more footfall in the centre via the internet. The London based company has teamed up with John Stanley to write a free guide with tips & tricks: “10 ways to drive more traffic to your garden centre via the internet”.
“We have been in this industry for over 10 years and we are spotting many, many retailers who are struggling to get new customers in to their centre, while it isn’t that difficult to do with a spot-on internet strategy”, says Edwin Meijer, MD. Garden Connect currently serves over 150 garden centres and is providing various online solutions like websites, e-mail marketing, webshops and apps to them.
“Garden Connect is the only internet company who’s is 100% focused on garden retailers. We know John from his Glee sessions and we initiated an event with him last year. It was a huge success: if you go to one of John his sessions at Glee this year and after that look at our services, it’s a 1:1 match.” Tells Edwin. “There’s absolutely no doubt garden centres should go online to survive. That’s not our opinion, the HTA is warning about this at least once a month.”
Most garden centres fail to roll out a successful website which generates traffic to their centre simply because most webdesigners know everything about websites and nothing about garden retail.
“The free guide is available only at our stand at Glee and everyone is welcome to get it. John and myself spent a lot of time writing it and we put in a lot of our own tricks & tips. And as an extra benefit: every new customer of Garden Connect will get a free iPad at Glee, so they can always stay in touch with their customers!” concludes Edwin Meijer.
