Garden Connect developed the app for the EFSA Concept Store which is hosted by the Spoga-GAFA in Cologne at the end of August. EFSA is an alliance of innovative European suppliers in the field of floral, gardening and home lifestyle.
The EFSA Concept Store app is a conceptual app of Garden Connect showcasing the opportunities smartphones offer. The app will be used within the concept store at Spoga-GAFA in Cologne. The following features are available within the free to download app:
- Barcode scanner to lookup product reviews in-store
- Current stock & price checkers
- Mobile loyalty card
Apart from that the app contains all basic information you may expect like; opening hours, offers and directions.
iBeacons for in-store coupons
Another new feature showed in the concept store are the in-store iBeacons: based on the location of the visitor a personal coupon is being sent automatically generating more impulse purchases by visitors of the garden centre. This technique is already being provided by Garden Connect to several customers in the UK and Netherlands.
Garden Connect also developed a plant recogniser: by taking a photo the app will tell you exactly what plant you’re having in your garden or living room. This new feature will make it easier for customers and retailers to identify plants and to provide proper advice and tips.
Learn more by downloading the app with your iOS or Android device. You can visit Garden Connect at the EFSA Concept Store during the Spoga-GAFA in Cologne or e-mail email@example.com.
