Garden Connect have teamed up to integrate their e-commerce websites with Swan Retail’s EPoS and retail management software. “Swan is a very flexible system and our partnership with Garden Connect helps garden centres to launch their online stores and expand their businesses with greater ease” explains Chris Marsden-Jones, Swan’s Business Development Director.
The first garden centres to take advantage of the partnership have already started the integration process which will synchronise their product information, stock levels and pricing across all retail channels. Orders placed online are sent back to the Swan retail system which processes the information in the accounts, customer orders and stock control areas of the solution. The integration between systems saves time spent on administration of instore and online sales as well as preventing errors when processing.
Customers should be able to check their receipts online, amend contact details and take full advantage of their loyalty card programme across all channels. As such, our next step is to integrate the loyalty and customer account functionality found in Swan with our customers’ websites.
Garden Connect has already integrated Facebook into loyalty schemes before which is one of the features we are investigating as a potential development avenue with Swan. Another area is the development of a loyalty app giving customers access to their loyalty card from their smartphone. Edwin Meijer of Garden Connect says “the partnership between our companies allows garden centres to do outstanding, innovative things which can’t be done without a strong partnership between an EPoS provider and online marketing agency.”
