We have put together some useful tips to make sure you are full of inspiring ideas so that your website does not get neglected this summer…
Tip 1 – Organise your events diary. Whether it’s a master class in barbequing or a World Cup 2014 landscaping demo, inform your clients what you have planned. By creating content for your summer events with full details of the dates, times and main features you will be well prepared. All you need to do is set up the post date on the CMS to automatically send information to your subscribers closer to the date. We recommend the date is around about 1-2 weeks prior to the event.
Tip 2 – Get snapping. Photographs are even better when it’s sunny. You don’t need a fancy camera as nowadays most mobile phones have excellent picture quality. Use this glorious weather to your advantage and take loads of pictures of your garden centre. These can be uploaded to your social media during the summer season to attract customers to visit and can also be used in photo albums on your website.
Tip 3 – Prize draw. Some of our customers are already building on their existing subscriber list with the prize draw scheme. Why? Because it’s so simple and customers like to win prizes. Order some leaflets from us and you can start increasing your newsletter subscriber list over the busy summer period.
Tip 4 – Summer vouchers. Whether it’s free ice cream for the kids or a free bag of coal with the purchase of every BBQ, start to think about what promotions you will be holding this summer. Create the vouchers now so that they can be sent out throughout the summer.
Tip 5 – Photo competition. Why not encourage your customers to take a photo with a product they have purchased from your garden centre. Get them to post or tweet it via your garden centres social media and whoever gets the most likes has the chance to win a summer prize. This is an amazing way to get more followers and likes!
